False job titles and promises, no marketing

There are many reports already about sapphire skies promotions. this report is to inform college and university graduates about all in management inc.

most of you reading this would have applied via monster.ca or Workopolis. Everyone that applies goes to a brief "initial" interview, which will turn into a "second interview" and finally the "acceptance interview". Now for a reputable company to conduct interviews, they should last more than 10-15 minutes with back and forth conversation. dont you agree? the interviews with these companies last 5mins long, very one sided interview. If you do end up asking questions, no straight answers are given (thus giving the interpretation that you need to come back for a second interview). you are told to come back for the second interview with a pen and paper and to keep your answers till the end. this way the company has made you work for at lease one day with no pay. and of course the turn over rate is so high, this is actually a smart ploy by these companies.

I'm here to tell you this is NO MARKETING JOB! not in the sense that you are made to believe. marketing is such a grey area, so ill lighten it up for you. Both companies will lie and have you believe that they have just signed a big contract with a reputable company or not-for-profit organization (now though a 3rd party contract this may be true). Both companies run as a DIRECT POINT OF SALES. now this means you are required to go to any location the company requests and sell, sell, sell. 100% commission.

Now of course this is where the grey area comes into light, the marketing is really just you explaining "your a representative" of the "client company". But if you think about it, why would you need to sell anything for that company if they don't hire you themselves. what you sell is actually for "sapphire" or "all in management". Of course you get a low % of the actual sales.

to break this down in a nut shell.
these are NOT 'marketing" companies. if you have nothing higher than a grade school education then yes, they can be a "marketing" job.

But for those of us that do have a education, please don't waste your time going to these interviews or even applying.
