Recently Fusion-Inc (Ottawa) has been trying to hire students for their company to do "promotional work" and receive "management training".

The first interview lasts only 5 minutes and they don't answer any questions. They call you back for a 2nd interview which supposedly lasts for an entire day, whereby they promise to answer your questions and give you a chance to see the promoters at work. It all sounds snazzy till you go to the 2nd interview, wait for an hour with the other interviewees and be told that the "managers from other cities" are running late. Instead, the local recruiter will personally drive you and your fellow interviewees down to the promotion sites.

At this point, some alarm bells should be ringing in your head. When you finally arrive at your destination you realize you are some 15-30 minutes away from the main office (i.e. where you parked your car) and most likely stuck at the location where this promotion is taking place.

Don't get me wrong though, if you like the idea of a 100% commission based job selling 3rd rate cosmestics to old women passing by in a shopping mall or dropping into businesses unannounced (cold call) pushing these products, then yeah totally check this company out.

Be warned though, if that's not what you are looking for, then you will be stuck there with the "promoter" who most likely will try anything to make you stay, since you aren't being paid a dime. He/she will tell you to watch the booth while they go to the bathroom, get a coffee, some other excuse just to make your life as miserable as theirs.

Oh yea, did I mention that you are STUCK there unless you are willing to take some confusing bus routes in your suit (since they make the 2nd interview sound like a real interview) or pay 25-40$ for a taxi ride back to your car.
