Mobile Phones

I'm not sure how they even got my information but charges suddenly appeared on my Bell Mobility Bill. I had to inform Bell and then Motown to get a MONTHLY fee canceled. They say I'd signed up online (the only ringtone sites I went to were advertised as "free") and was sent a text message with a code number I had to enter to get these ringtones.

I found the text message and thought it was just more spam but at NO time did I ever use that code or know that I was subscribed to a monthly service. Bell denies liability but all the cellular companies must be profiting fom this (as they do from the 1 - 900) and could stop it in it's tracks so they are liable!! Motown did offer me a meager $10 refund which is quite a joke - I'm almost afraid to send them my address for a refund cheque.

There should be immediate government action to stop this kind of fraud! How many people are caught up in this this and keep paying without realizing what happened to them? There are enough vultures preying on others already but this is something that could be stopped easily.

DISGUSTING!!!
