Charged for Non usage, I stopped the credit-gave service under two names

I joined this convergia in 2008 and intitially they told me that their monthly fees was $69.99 calling plan to India... interesting..before this..I would say..they told me that I can take the connection under two names..ie., since I had a VOIP landline..they said to get my friends phone number and then I can get one more free connection to my cell number!
..after this their price per month increased to $100 per month and we discontinued their service. They still started billing me. After this my credit card on file was cancelled and Convergia has tried to charge my account even in the month of MARCH 2009! (I had stopped their service in NOV 2008!) and finally they send me a bill for $553.They kept sending mails that my account was past due. One final day I called them and had a discussion with one Mr. Arif I calculated what I had to pay and I paid $245.71 (Eventhough I had hardly used for those days..but I Owed them their money) which I owed to them and got an email from them as the Last and final payment. After they recieved the payment from me ..they sent a letter from the collections and then reported to my credit reporting agencies... now can someone tell me how to get this company to do normal human business..even I am a businessman and I would like to take this couple of steps forward to the law.
