Lotto ripoff - check in the mail

My mother was sent a check in the mail for $1780.00 along with a letter explaining she had won a cash prize for $65, 000. The check is to pay for taxes and fees.

She asked me to call the number and see if this was legitimate. Thank goodness my mother is always skeptical first but at the same time we all hope. Her first reaction was why wasn't this sent certified mail. The check and letter sat for two days and she asked if I called. I did not call because it was a toll call. So I decided to search out all parties on-line.

I couln't find much on line (not even through the Better Business Bureau). I did find Six Robblee's, Inc. The main flag is that this company deals in auto and other parts. Also their business address is different from the check. The street numbers, city state and zip are the same but the street name is different.

Although I still contemplated calling I still had a nagging feeling and continued on. I finally stumbled on to this web site. Thank you everyone who posted something this definitely validated our intuitions.
