On Jan 22/09 I made 2 hotel bookings at the Metcourt Laurel Hotel in Johannesburg for August 18 and Sept 14/09. My credit card was charged on Jan 22. On August 14 I was advised that my reservation was cancelled due to some problem with their "supplier". I complained by email and asked about my next booking and was told it would be OK. On Sept 12 I was advised the next booking was also cancelled for the same reason. To date 9/28 there have been no refunds and my cc company is working on the problem. I tried to phone their US number as shown on their website but all you get is a recording in a language which I do not even recognise let alone understand. Obviously they do not intend to help. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY PURPOSE.
