First Star Medical Benefits
Unauthorized Debit of account, bought my account info from an unknown source rip-off

Education & Science

First Star Medical Benefits made a sales call to my house on Jan. 16 2003. They tried to sell me a medical benefits package from Canada, which I felt was suspicious.

I gave them just as much of a run around as they did me. I told them they would have to call another time (to buy time to look into the companies reputation). I never gave them any account information or addresses. YET, the saleslady (if you could call her that) immediately forwarded me to the secondary verification department.

I told the verification person that I did not order anything yet, and that I thought that I was to be given an 800 number to call back. So, then I was transferred back to the telemarketer. I told her to call back the next day, so that I would have time to talk with my significant other, and she agreed.

The following day, I found the $169 unauthorized debit on my bank account. BEWARE! If these people call you they probably already have your routing number as they did mine.

Though, your bank credits your account, and sometimes even some of the NSF charges incurred, their insurance has to cover this {{costs money}}, they have a team of investigaters looking into the crime {{they must be paid}}, and the money is sucked right out of our U.S. economy, and into Canada's.

50, 000 people is a very small fraction of the U.S.'s population (less than 1%), yet if you multiply that by $169, that's $8, 450, 000 (other costs incurred) out of an already struggling U.S. economy. Let's get 'em, citizens!!!
