Surplus Freight, many lies! Will never get your furniture!

We ordered a 7 piece set from Surplus Freight back in the middle of February 2008. At first, we were told that we could take the furniture home that day. We filled out all the paper work, then the sales man checked the computer and told us that they didn't have our sofa or loveseat in stock.

He told us that as soon as it arrived to their warehouse, they would deliver it. He said the latest we would have it would be March 5th.

We never got a call from them, and around March 7th I called to ask what was going on. They came up with an excuse, saying that their delivery truck had delivered to Toronto accidently, which made no sense. They said we would have our furniture within a week.

At the end of the week, I called again. They said they had no idea when their truck would come in and that they would call.

I never got a call!

At the end of March, I went down there to talk to the manager. He said that they still basically had no idea when the truck would come, and that they would deliver it for free as soon as it came.

I got a call on April 1st. They told me that their delivery truck was coming in, and that they would have our furniture delivered either that day or the next day. They told me they would call by 12 PM April 2nd. Once again, I never got a call.

Around 2 pm I called. They said that their delivery driver only brought part of their shipment and had left. They said they had no idea when we would have our furniture... once again!

I went down their to once again speak to the manager. He told me it would be at least another week. He said that 2 sets had come in on the truck, and they had needed 3, so I couldnt have my furniture.

I got my money back, and had the contract cancelled.

They were very rude the whole time, and you could never get a straight answer from any of them, including the manager.

They are not worth the headache!!! Dont let them scam you!
