Poor Workmanship and Poor Customer Service

We had a 6 month ordeal with this company. We bought new vinyl floor for our kitchen which was not properly installed (it was only perimeter glued, rather than gluing down the whole tile surface). This left ridges in many areas of the floor. When we complained to the Company, they said the job was done correctly and the vinyl would flatter out on its own within a few weeks. They wanted payment from us even though we were not happy with the work. We stalled on payment and waited 2 months but the vinyl was still not laying flat. They finally agreed to replace the vinyl but the installer was pissed because the Company blamed him and he did not get paid by them for the second install. We agreed to pay the Company after the second installation, thinking that they would finally get it right. To our amazement, the installer did not finish the job properly and neither the installer nor the Company returned our phone calls. We finally hired someone else so that we could get the work done. (and paid them out of our own pocket). The new installer pointed out a bunch of short cuts the previous installer took and there was even an area where the vinyl was ripped and just glued down rather than repaired by the previous installer.

We are completely unhappy with Candian Carpet & Tile's customer service and workmanship. Many of the staff seem to have a poor command of the english language and use this to their benefit when they don't want to do something for you. I recommend that you stay away from them. Life is too short for all the hastle we took from them.
