Sole-lining deterioration

This pair of slippers ordered on 9/6/11 and picked-up on 9/8/11 by my daughter in law, Guylaine Benoit at the Sears Catalogue Center in Rosemere, Quebec. Discription of item: #6641 0753816936011QC PANTOUFLES, HOMMES, TAN She paid the $ 51.26 with her Sears Mastercard on 10/7/11 after which the original bill was thrown out.. After about two weeks, the inner sole started to come loose and it became more and more uncomfortable to wear them. She took them back to store only to be told to come back in two days when the manager was in. When she went back the manager told her that since the slippers had been worn she could not take them back. But guess what: that was really the reason we bought them. The manager advised her to contact you in Toronto, which she did. After a week, you informed her that this was your policy. It was the manager's decision. I couldn't belief this explanation. My wife has been buying from Robert Simpson and Simpson-Sears and from Sears Catalogue since 1956 and is still buying from the Catalogue but it is becoming too difficult to get around at our age. This item was priced at $ 90.00 but on sale at half price, $44.99 Tx Even at half price these slippers were totally overpriced. I absolutely want to return these slippers and get a full refund.
