UPS
Incorrect Classificaiton of Items

Cars & Transport

I ordered online a few books from a company in the States and the delivery was made by UPS. UPS incorrectly classified the books as autoparts and I was required to pay a brokerage fee of $60 dollars and the Canadian taxes. I complained to UPS and they admitted their fault and refunded the overpaid taxes but not the brokerage fees. It turned out that I have to pay $60 brokerage fee on top of the $240 worth of books. I have never been in that situation when I order books from the States. It was purely UPS fault. I will never use them and avoid any online companies that use UPS. I find US Mail much better.
