Normandeau Car Care
Damaged a brand new 2008 truck leather passenger seat while installing a care starter

Cars & Transport

I purchased a brand new 2008 Ford Ranger FX4 truck and took delivery of it in November 2007. At Xmas, I recieved a remote car starter w/installation already paid for from my wife as a present. It cost her $399.00, the installation date was 7 Jan 2008.

My wife picked up the truck later in the day and brought it home. It wasn't until the next morning, in daylight did I notice several scratches and a deep indentation in the passenger side seat of the truck. The seats are leather.

I had the truck for two months, with less than 1500km on it and I know that only two people have ever been in my truck. So I know that I did not damage the seat, nor did my wife when she picked it up.

Mr. Normandeau, the owner, absolutely refused to accept responsibility for the seat. He exemplifies the typical small town hillbilly attitude. He maintains that it was something that his business did not, nor could not do.

Go figure, a brand new truck not a mark on it anywhere, until it came into that particular Car Care business (big joke... car care my XXX).
