Awful service at Mr Lube

Mr. Lube has used scare tactics on me a number of times to convince me (an early 20's female) that I needed hundreds of dollars of services. My brother who is a Journeyman mechanic was infuriated when I showed him a $300 bill for a host of services the technician convinced me I had to have done that minute. I had to stop him from going in there and demanding my money back for fraud.

That wasn't even what turned me away from Mr. Lube in the end. What turned me away was one day I went in for an oil change, was waiting in line on a hot day. Since I had been waiting for some time and the line was still backed up I decided to run into the A&W just a few steps away to use their bathroom. When I came out, I saw a truck maneuvering around my car in reverse in such a dangerous fashion that my jaw literally dropped. When I returned to my car, a teenager came out and literally berated me to the point of tears for leaving my car. I backed out of the line and drove home that instant, feeling embarrassed that someone would yell at me for such a ridiculous thing.

Now I go to Minit Lube and I love their service! They tell me my car is running and looking great (which it is) and only perform the services I need. They do remind me when I need extra services but I never feel pressured.
