Metropolitan Hotels
False Advertising

Hello.
I stayed recently at the Metropolitan Hotel. When I checked out there was an $8.00 (plus tax) "Facility Fee". This was said to be for the health club and internet etc. It is mentioned on their website.
However I learned from the hotel staff that this fee is applied uniformly to every room, without exception, whether or not one uses the "facilities".
This seems to me rather close to false advertising. There are, in fact, no rooms available in the Metropolitan Hotel for the prices advertised. Each room costs $8.00 more than quoted.
I know that this is a small amount which gets lost in the various taxes and other charges, but by misrepresenting its rates the Metropolitan gains an unfair advantage over its competitors.
Has no one else noticed this?
Just wondering.
