When I first heard about myUnlimited through their sister company, Student Phones, I thought that it was a legit service. I was wrong.

Basically, myUnlimited is supposed to be a call-back service for your cell phone - to save you money. You dial an access number, then it disconnects the call and calls you back (you need unlimited incoming calls for this to be free). When it calls you back, you answer and dial the number that you wish to reach and myUnlimited connects you to that call. Well, that's what it's supposed to do.

I signed up over the telephone with a customer service rep (Annik) a few months ago. She said I was required to give either my credit card number or my bank information because the amount would be automatically taken out each month. I gave her my Visa number along with my address and cell phone number. She said that everything was submitted and that my service would be working within five minutes or so. I thanked Annik and said goodbye.

I waited about 30 minutes before trying my first call. It didn't call me back like it was supposed to. I called the customer service number the next day and was told that they would have to speak with the engineer, and that I should be patient. Two days later, I still was not getting any service. I called back and complained. This time, I was told that there was an issue with the service, and that it would be up and running within 24 hours. It wasn't. I tried a few days later, and finally got a call back from the service, but an automated voice said, "the number is currently unavailable" every time I tried dialling the number I wanted to reach.

I tried calling the customer service number many times (probably over 50 times) during regular business hours, and nobody was picking up. I then noticed that they billed me and took the money off my Visa. I was furious. I called and emailed myUnlimited, telling them that nothing was working, and requesting that they cancel my subscription to the service and also credit me the money that they took. The customer service rep finally said okay (probably because I would not stop trying to contact them). About 3 weeks later, I notice that they billed me again! After I cancelled the service with them!

The people who work for myUnlimited are providing a SCAM service! Please think twice before you sign up with them. It's not only me who is experiencing this issue. I have a few friends who signed up for it and experienced the exact same thing. I also did some online research and found out from various forums that the company ripped off all their customers. This is unfair. I made sure to call Visa and block myUnlimited from any further withdrawals.

In a nutshell, myUnlimited says they have a wonderful service for you, takes your money, then runs off with it without actually providing you with the service. They are not worth dealing with.
