Today my husband recieved a letter in the mail that said he had won 450, 000.00 with a check enclosed for $4700.00. I called the number and they tried to sound legit by not wanting to talk to me and saying that they could only talk with my husband. I told them of my circumstance so they talked to me and the rest did not sound proffessional at all. All he (Fred Harris(?)) said was to deposit it in my husbands account.

I asked if this was real and he said that he did not know where that would be coming from. so i said okay that i would tell my husband. I then came to get on the net and I was not really suprised at what i have found but am very glad that i was scared and checked it out.
There was somethings about the letter and check that just did not seem right.

First the letter was not written on a company letter head. it appears that the it was made on a home computer, looks like something i could design with basic word.

I did not remeber my husband entering a drawing anytime with in the last few months.

Also when i looked at the signature at the bottom of the letter it doesn't resemble the promotion manager's name at all. the signature is for a N.T. Aman??? and the name is for Oliver Walker.

the bank that issued the check is legit (i found a site for them) (but different address) i done a search for the address on the check and there was 4 different extension numbers for the same building (hmm) but there is no phone number on the check (my bank puts their number on my checks) the address for the person that is supposed to be giving him the money has the wrong zip code (no phone number as well). i done a search for the address it says new york but the zip is for new jersey..
