Moving Company Ripoff overcharged & no return calls

I read the report from the other person on this same company and they were ripped off the same weekend as us.
Again, asked to sign something before the move started, no copy given to me. Asked to sign the credit card slip (I challenged them, I was told it was to verify that the card was good), I signed it (stupid me).

Won't go into all the details. Let's just say that the move (in our estimation - based on what we were quoted) should have cost approx $1700 plus materials & taxes. We were charged just over $4, 000!!! I did not approve this amount. I was not given (nor have I been given, although I've asked for it 4 times) a copy of the invoice, itemizing the charges.

The move took place over 3 days, they were late every day. They took things apart that did not need to be taken apart (thus eating up more hours). The topper to all of this was on the last day, they had to drive 2.5 hours to a storage unit with our property. We finally heard from them 3 hours after we were supposed to, only to advise us that their truck had been pulled over by the police and was condemned by the side of the road!!! The truck was not roadworthy, nor did it have valid license plate on it. Their website reads that they have reliable trucks!

We have disputed the charge with our credit card company and are planning on suing this company. I would love to speak to the other person (s) who was ripped off, if usaconsumercomplaints.com can put us in touch with each other, that would be most helpful.
