Quick And Careful Ripoff Moving scam charged twice as much to deliver furniture as agreed upon

I contacted Quick and Careful Moving to move my furniture from Richmond, B.C. to Long Beach, California.

They quoted me a total price of $1220 for the move. They then called and said the price would be $1305 because of fuel charges.

At this point I asked if this was the final total cost and I was told yes.

The day before the truck showed up the driver called me and said that the total I owed was $2430 because of excess weight charges.

I was forced to come up with an additional $1125 dollars in less than 24 hours... in a cashier's cheque otherwise they informed me that they wouldn't unload the truck.
