Rip Off!!!

I received a claim letter in the mail on 2202009 stating that I had been declared a winner in a shoppers sweepstakes held on Jan. 5, 2009. Entitled to 250, 000 dollars with a claim number of WA/SDH-0101. First off the addres of the company is different on both letter and check for $4980.00. Address on letter is 100 Front st. Morriston, Ont H4N-3L4... while address on the check is P.O. Box 58710 Seattle, WA 98138-1710.

I also noticed the Py to the order of addressee Had My name but completely different mailing address (address is in California). Supposed to deposit the check and then send $2995.00 to pay Gov. taxes on winnings by Moneygram or western Union... RED FLAG!!!

Anyone who receives this notice in mail... report it to the proper authorities and destroy the check plus letter that comes with it. My claim letter also had a claim agent listed on it to contact before using the check (Lewis McGregor 1-905-598-5374). I called this number twice to verify everything and got answering service both times and the message stated " Sorry, there is no room to record new messages! ".
