Attempted to collect money from fake lottery winnings

A member of my family got this letter with a check for $5, 985.00 for some alleged lottery winnings. I confirmed on several websites this is indeed a scam. I also called the company the check was written by Suadell & Partners -- there is no such business with this name at the address printed on the check. I investiagted further and discovered a legitimate business with a different spelling of Suadell. I spoke to a gentleman at this company and he told me this was a scam. I am forwarding the fake check to him and he will be turning this over to the FBI. I would suggest you do the same, should you get this check.

If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.
