You have been approved for the lump sum payment of $39, 000 credited to an account with the above claim number. All Prizes must be claimed by January 22nd, 2009. Please contact one of your agents Angela Moore or Michael King at 905-781-0930.

I was sent a Cashier's Check in the amount of $3900 from the total prize to enable me to pay for the applicable tax.

I called Kingsway Financials and they confirmed that this is a scam. They said they have received many phone calls from people receiving the identical notification memo. Kingsway Financials informed me that no one affiliated with them is sending these letters out. Some dishonest individual or individuals not affiliated with Kingway Financials are unlawfully using their company name. The checks being mailed out are fraud. Do not cash them.
