I was sent one of these letters and did give a Mr. George Stanley a phone call at (905) 598-1409. He told me to go ahead and deposit the check into my account, but I figured this had to be some sort of scam because no one gives anything away for free. it sounded to good to be true. So I started researching the name on the phoney check, Star Capital Securities Inc. and wondered on to this site... don't fall for it I didn't. Thank you for this web site warning people.
