ING DIRECT
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, CANADA

I am placing a BEWARE report regarding ING DIRECT in Toronto, Ontario, CANADA. I received a letter from them this week telling me I had won a sweepstakes, lottery in the amount of $450, 000.00 for which they sent me a check for $4, 950 to pay for the so-called "out-of-the-country" taxes. They gave me the names of two individuals with their telephone numbers to call BEFORE I am to do anything with the check.

As soon as I saw this letter and check, I figured it was a SCAM. I want to thank all of you who took the time to write in on this website to warn other unsuspecting, innocent people who might receive something like this in the mail. DO NOT CASH THEIR CHECKS. And, I would go further to say, DO NOT CONTACT ANY OF THEIR AGENTS whom they say to talk to before proceeding with the check. I am sure they have been well trained to continue on with the SCAM in some way to take your money.
