Totally fake sweepstakes -How did I win a sweepstakes that I DIDN'T EVEN ENTER?!?!

I received a letter in the mail stating this was the "Final Notification" of winning my share of $38, 000.00 dollars. Included was an invalid check written on the Bank of Hawaii. The check looked real enough, but there are no funds to back the check up. I'm really not quite sure how someone wins a lottery they didn't even enter! CNH Financial Services even listed Readers Digest, Publishers Clearing, Wal-Mart, and Western Union as sponsers of this sweepstakes!! Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win some money, but for now I'll keep my eye out for the REAL sweepstakes!
