This is the same basic letter as that of Royal British Lotto

I recieved an "Award Certificate" from Royal Irish Lotto that says I am one of 23 International winners in the Royal Irish Random Lotto held in Belfast, Ireland. I have been approved for the lump sum of $115, 500 United States Dollars from a total cash prize of $2, 450, 500.00

A check for $2, 997.50 is enclosed for international clearance fees. Contact your North American Agent. Monica Brown, of Zenith Financial Management Group at 445 Madison Ave, Ste 205, Edmonton, AB, an accredited agency to Irish Mega Lotto at
TEL:1-780-604-4842.

I found things that made me suspicious:

1) The certificate is from Canada on behalf of Royal Irish Lotto. This check is from Magni-Power Company of Wooster, Ohio. Drawn from National City Bank of Wooster, Ohio. Why would Ohio send me a check from Canada for an Irish Lotto??? Besides I never entered a lottery of any sort.

2) And I Quote: "We ask that you keep this award from public notice until your claim has been processed and money remitted to your account, as this is part of our security protocol to avoid double claiming or unwarranted taking of advantage of the program by the participants and the public."

3) Magni-Power Company of Wooster, Ohio; and
National City Bank of Wooster, Ohio.
Both of these places do exist. But I could not find any record of Royal Irish Lotto or Zenith Financial Management Group that was not connected with a fraud.

4) There is no date given for the actual lottery drawing.

Beware of anything that looks to good to be true.
