Concert Ticket Scam

I was really looking forward to going to the George Michael concert in Toronto this week, but was having trouble finding tickets. Shaun's offer sounded good for great seats. We emailed back and forth over the last week, and even though both the website he was selling them on AND Western Union tell you not to send money to someone you don't know, I started the process.

I wired the money but wouldn't give him the MTCN number he needed to get the money until he could prove he had Fed Ex'd them. He copy and pasted their logo on an email and sent me a tracking number that didn't pan out. I went with my gut and called Western Union right away to cancel the money. Thank goodness I did! Western Union told me that my 'spouse' had called trying to get the MTCN number, and also had a 'Western Union Rep'. He had also tried to change the information. He had a phone number for me, which he tried to verify a few times as this is something Western Union needs for verification.

When I emailed him to tell him not to contact me and that I cancelled the money order his parting words were "Thanks for your address BITCH, your paying more then 400 bucks now..". I have since seen on the website I found him on, others who have lost their money and that he has been pulling these scams since 2006. Most likely out of Hamilton, Ontario. I am afraid for my safety now.
