I signed a seasonal Service Agreement with LJR Property Maintenance for snow removal service for our driveway and walkways, to begin November 1, 2011. We did not have any snow during the months of November and December, therefore we were unaware that there might be a service issue.

At the end of December, we received significant snowfall on the 28th and 29th of the month, but LJR Property Maintenance did not show up (although we had paid $125.00 in advance each month, for a total of $375.00 paid to date).

In January, which was the next time significant snowfall occurred (January 2 and 3, 2012), LJR Property Maintenance did not show up. When I called the company, the owner, Shawn Raymond, said they would be out, but they did not come until the next day - and they never returned after that to clear the additional 30cm of snow that fell that day. We only received one plow for a week of snowfall.

I contacted the company on January 3, 2012 and advised the owner that I was unhappy with the service - I had a lot of difficulty getting my car up the driveway due to all of thee snow and ice on it, and I wanted to know how we could resolve the situation. She offered my money back and stated they only plow between 2AM and 6AM.

The company is now refusing to give our money back. I contacted the company in writing, and requested a refund of $125, which was the amount paid to clear our driveway during the month of January 2012. The company declined my request, and have stated in writing that they will not fulfill the plowing service that they agreed to provide for January, and they will keep our money.

The owner of the company has sent me multiple unprofessional email messages as well as a voice message with personal insults and attacks.

As customers, we only expected that our driveway would be plowed in a timely manner when there has been significant snowfall.

I strongly advise you to avoid LJR Property Maintenance in London, Ontario. They are unreliable, extremely unprofessional, arrogant and difficult to deal with. Additionally, for some unknown reason, the owner is threatening to charge us another $30.00 for the single plow they completed on January 2 - despite the fact that we already paid $125.00 for the month, in advance.
