RIPPED ME OFF by taking my money and not doing any work

The person who represented himself as the owner of Spring Meadows Landscaping Jason friend is very shady and untrustworthy in my opinion. Anyone considering hiring them for Landscaping work in Calgary should CHECK WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU before hiring him. In my experiences with him, he stole my money and never did any work.

I hired Jason Friend and Spring Meadows Landscaping to do our landscaping work. I paid an initial deposit of $1, 500 and then later another $5, 000 because they were supposed to start the project. They never did. Throughout the entire process Jason Friend constantly lied to me first by telling me he would do the work and then second by saying he would refund our money once we fired him. It has been a year and Jason Friend hasn't DONE ANY WORK or given me a refund.

After he refused to cooperate and just give our money back, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Jason Friend continued to lie and told the Better Business Bureau he would give me my money back. Again, he never did.

I was finally forced to sue Jason Friend and Spring Meadows Landscaping in Small Claims Court, and won. He told my lawyer he would give us our money back but he lied again and never returned the money. I was forced to put a lien against his house. The problem is once I started trying to collect I found out that Jason Friend had already declared bankruptcy and was in bankruptcy proceedings so I am at the end of the creditors list.

Jason Friend seemed nice and friendly but in my opinion he is a chronic liar, is extremely unprofessional, is rude and STOLE MY MONEY. I am currently trying to file fraud charges against him.

Check with the Better Business Bureau of Calgary first before even considering hiring Jason Friend who in my opinion, is a scumbag, and is not to be trusted. There you will see the complaints he refused to settle related to "Contract Issues". In my opinion Jason Friend is a thief and a liar.
