Not paying bills

We had problems collecting $2000.00 from a builder, and tried to come to a reasonable conclusion. The issue was about $300.00 worth of paint touch ups, we asked for a progress payment of 1000.00 as we wanted some security on the work we allready performed. Our company has painted several hundred homes with out any problems. Finally we decided they could have someone else do the minor touch ups, Havan Homes later contacted us that they paid $3200.00 for the touch ups! This is one of the craziest things I have ever seen...

It seems the smaller subcontractors are getting stepped on by the General contrators, what are your thoughts
