Painting Peeling Off

I’m Extremely Disappointed with Toyota Canada’s handling of a known paint peeling issue on my Toyota Sienna 2016 (Blizzard White Pearl).

Like many Toyota owners, I discovered that the paint on my vehicle is peeling and flaking off, despite being properly maintained and cared for. This is the exact same paint defect (Blizzard White Pearl – color code 070) that has affected multiple Toyota and Lexus models. Toyota even acknowledged this defect publicly and extended warranty coverage for several affected vehicles, as reported here:

However, when I contacted Toyota Canada customer service today at 5:44pm, I was informed by Kyle that my Sienna 2016 is not included in the coverage—even though it clearly uses the exact same defective paint. This response is simply unacceptable and makes no logical sense.

Toyota’s refusal to stand behind its product in this case is extremely disappointing and damaging to the brand’s reputation for reliability and integrity. Paint should not peel and flake from a vehicle that has been properly maintained, and certainly not from a brand that prides itself on quality and customer care.
