The Ancaster Old Mill Inn
Doubles the price if brunch without any notice to customers to receive inflated bill!

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

We attended Old Mill's Sunday Brunch on May 11 or 2008 for Mother's Day. We had attended the Sunday Brunch several times and at least once in the past 6 months to which we arrive early for their $26 per person brunch. The food and dining area was the same as always, except when the bill came they charged $49 per person!

Nowhere was the price increase mentioned. I made reservations 2 weeks prior by phone and nothing was said, the door staff or entrance mentioned nothing, the waiter said nothing, and no menus were provided to indicate and price increase anywhere. Had we been made aware of the massive increase we would not have eaten there. There was nothing displayed to customers saying "prices subject to change without notice". I was told by the waiter food costs increased and the manager said it was a special day and they charge more.

We feel this is unjustified and I want my disputed amount refunded to my credit card for the lack of mentioning this to customers during reservations. had this been our first time it can be the consumers fault, but we were there less than a year ago and the prices never changed that much for one day!
