SCAMMED MONEY Ripoff!

About three months ago I found a website through an item for sale in ebay, harvestcapital.ca. It promotes its site by offering pre paid Mastercards to Canadians and Americans. They state on their website that they have offices in Toronto and New York. For $39 CAD they will send you a prepaid Mastercard with $10 added to it. That was three months ago.

Last month I emailed them to find out what was going on with my Mastercard and no response. Email after email and no response.

So I did a search on the website and found that it was registered by Brian Duval and there was a 1800 number "1-800-795-0455". I called it and got an answering machine, "Thankyou for calling Harvest Capital, sorry no one can take your call right now but if you leave your name and number someone will return your call with 24 hours.". Yeah, right... many phone calls later they removed the answering machine.

So I went to Canada Post and did a trace on my money order and was advised to contact the police. Last night I searched the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.com and found 17 compliants filed against them. Including using the BBB name and most were for non-delivery. It says that the Houston, TX address is a mailbox.

I contacted the mall where the address was in Canada. Albion Mall in Etobicoke, Ontario. I found out that the address leads to a mailbox at Shoppers Drugmart.

I then contacted the police and filed a compliant with them. The Officer told me that there was 29 filed compliants against Harvest Capital regarding the same thing, $39 money order and that I was very unlikely to recover my money... I understand that, but the website is still in full operation and is most likely taking other people money. The police made the comment to go to the media.

The website ranks pretty high with the major search engine.
