They send you a bad check under a stolen logo

The people send you a letter with a check of $2, 580 in the mail stating that you have won the lottery. They give you a confidential reference number. You are promised to receive $51, 370 later after talking to the claims agent in the letter. The letter asks you to call Jane Harrison at (450)-675-9331. (Online, this number traces to St. Jerome, Quebec)

I called the manager of the co. that was on the check and was told that someone had stolen their co. logo and was sending out fraudulent checks in their name. The manager said that his co. had closed all accounts. That number was online, (323) 937-0777.

The letter heading was Gold Fortune Lottery 2008. The name on the check was EREWHON Natural Food Market, 7660-A Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90036
