Tried to get me to pay money up front ($960.00) for a loan of $10, 000.00

I applied for a 10, 000 dollar consolodation loan. This company contacted me by email and said I was pre approved for the loan. It was explained to me that they would hold out $960.00 of the $10, 000 for an insurance policy in case I defaulted on the loan And it would be refunded in 6 months.

All I had to do was sign the contract and fax back to them and call. When I signed the papers and faxed back and called I was then told that I had to get a money order for the $960.00 and they would send a courier to pick it up and then release the funds to my checking account when they recieved it within 6 to 12 hours.

I told them that it was not a good way to do business and that they could take it out of the loan money and they said that is not the way they do it so I told them then I don't want the loan. Only a fool would send someone money to get money.
