Scot and Carey Hartness are frauds! Me and my husband purchased a 250CC dual seater go cart in October 06, 2004 in the amount of $3250 in a cashier's check (which we still have the receipt for that which was made out to Carey Hartness).
We did not receive our go cart in a month and a half time which we were told we would. We then asked for our refund..they did not object and said they would return our money. After 2 weeks, no refund so we called again and Scot Hartness said that it is on its way.
It is now March 2006 and still no refund. I have all the e-mail contact with Scot and Carey Hartness asking for my refund. They say they intend to give it back to us. We are not the only family that they have scammed... they're numerous amounts of families that they have taken money from... you can see their complaints.
Another thing is..is that they are continuously changing their company's name or website and their locations. When we purchased our go kart in Oct 2004, they were called Carot Trade International/AtvKart.com... they then changed their company name to seatoskykarts.com, if you look on the website seatoskykarts.com you can see where one of the victims of these individuals bought that web site to warn consumers of Scot and Carey.
The new company name they're under is S2Spowersports.com I really hope you are able to investigate these fraudulent individuals. We have filed a complaint with the BBB before under Scot and Carey's old sites CarotTrade/ATVKart.com, but they just keep changing company names..
They have taken thousands of dollars from hard working families and if they have their way..they will continue. Thanks for you time. They formerly lived in Colorado, Washington State, and Surrey, BC.
