Dog Training Scam

I hired Doug Morrison K-9 Development back in October 2007 to help train my Miniature Schnauzer, Gypsy. We had a contract for 8 lessons at $425 and because I paid cash I got the lessons for $400. This is a lot of money to me, but I wanted the best for my dog and his website appeared to project this idea. I actually called one of his references to see if he was who he said he was, and this man vouched for him. It was the gentleman who apparently worked with him training mine detection dogs.

Doug showed up for 3 1/2 lessons and then cancelled the next one because he was sick. Since then I have only had one voice message which said he would call back and he hasn't. I have sent numerous email messages and voice messages, but so far nothing. I would like to get half my money back because he barely fulfilled half his contract. I do have copies of these emails for reference.

Right after I had hired him, I heard from another lady who had the same problem with him, however being the optimist, I was hoping he had mended his ways. Before I take legal action, I was hoping you may be able to do something from your end.

I placed an ad on the Kijiji website last week warning people about this man's actions and I have received quite a few replies from others who have gone through the same thing.

I have sent reports to Pat Foran at CTV and Silverman Helps at City TV about this because I want this man stopped.
