Steve Bacon, Taking "Design Fees" and DISAPPEAR With My Money

I operate a store in the Kitchener Waterloo area and sometimes see a local "Fun Map" being distribute around the area.

One day there is this guy call Steve Bacon came over and brag himself as the designer of these maps, and sell me the idea of being advertise on these brochures in the community.

Seeing how his work were distributed, I did not think twice about checking his background and gave him 3 cheques postdated 1 month after another. For he promised to make and distribute my store's image in his "fun maps" in under 3 months.

It has been over 17 months passes since I wrote thos cheques, and he did not return calls, did not return emails, and vanished.

If you check his website https://therebydesign.com/aboutus.htm one would find NO PHYSICAL ADDRESS of his company, and should have been a BIG RED FLAG of a scam artist, too bad I was too trusting of him to overlook this info.

If you see him again, DO NOT PAY HIM in advance, DO NOT TRUST HIM, better yet, just tell him to GET OUT, or you could end up like me, almost two thousand dollars short and a bad feeling of being scammed.
