Modelling Ripoff

My stepdaughter has been trying to get back a $500 pre-paid fee for a photoshoot that never took place. While she did the original cancellation due to dental surgery, WM has yet to rebook or refund the $500 fee. Despite an email from Tara that outlined she would speak with the photographer and get back to us this has yet to happen. This email reply from tara was in November 2008, as it is now May 2009, I decided to try and help make some headway. I started with some interent searching to see if their were other WM models who received poor service or treatment, well after reading other reports both here and on other sites - the common denomators appeared.
Thousands of dollars for proffesional photos shoots - receiving poor quality images in return, no paying jobs - just work at non paying charity events - promises of casting calls - 2 calls in the last 3 years, excuses, excuses and more excuses.
Then there is the agency reps - James and Tara - great people to deal with if you love sarcastic remarks, non rerturned phone calls, no answers as they work remotely so frequently.
Oh yeah and how did I get into all this - I was discovered by Tara while shopping in Toronto's Eaton Center - should have known better then. My silver lining in this grey cloud will be to help protect others from being a victim of this agency - heed the warning, read others reports and stay way from WM Models Inc of Toronto.
