United Financial Group
Award Claim Notification / Sweepstakes winner, congratulations

Shops, Products, Services

I received a letter with no return address on the envelope upon opening it it contained a letter congratulating me that I was one of the winners of a
sweepstakes that entitled me to $55, 000.00.

Also in the envelope was a check for $3, 975.00 which would allow me to pay the taxes on my winnings In the amount of $2, 945.00 before they could release my money.

I was assigned a claim agent Natalie Brown who I was advised to contact to help process my winnings before I deposited the check in my bank.

There were several "Red Flags" that helped me decide this was a scam besides being no return address on the envelope there was no address on the letter head, also thier claim they had trouble contacting me.

The fact that United Financial Group had assigned me a claim agent with the phone #647-219-2970 and not an toll free number was an other "Red Flag".

I did a reverse look-up on the phone number and found it registered to a cell phone in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, very strange for a financial corp.

I then did an internet search of United Financial Group and found them on canada-complaints.com.com where there were several people who they had tried the same scam with, who had lost money to these scam artist.

After writing this I plan to send copies to Missouri Atty. Gen. Jay Nixon who has a very good record in my state for stopping this type of thing. Hopefully before maney more people lose money to them, I'm just thankful I wasn't one of them.
