Misleading Sales Signs

For the past few years Sears has been posting large Sale signs stating 20, 30, 40, 50% off in large letters but in fine print limiting the sale to items not ending in .97 or something like that. Very annoying and misleading - I don't know how many times I've taken something to the cash and found out it wasn't included in the sale. Yesterday I was caught for the last time. Saw a sign stating the item was 20% off so took two... went to the cash and was told it wasn't included. Went all the back to the other end of the store to check the sign - which was on a wall at least seven feet from the floor! The 20% off was in large red letters but the fine print I could barely see - let alone read! At least they should give me a chance to see the silly sign! I went back to the clerk, got her scissors and cut up my card. I politely complained to the store manager about this policy and have sent an email to head office. I have spent at least $10, 000 there over the past 15 years but will not shop there again.
