I received my mastercard bill in the mail today (May 22, 2004) to discover an unauthorized purchase of $159.95 to MWI*LIFESTYLE REWARDS. I didn't recall ever hearing of this company before so I called my credit card company. They told me that they had no idea what this company was so I called LIFESTYLE REWARDS.

LIFESTYLE REWARDS informed me that my membership had been cancelled and a refund would be posted to my credit card within 3 months! This means I would have to pay three months of interest! The worst part about this is that I never ordered a membership from them.

They said that they called me in the beginning of June, 2003 and I agreed to a free one month trial membership from them but I then cancelled it on June 24, 2003. The weird part is that they said I ordered it fom the number and address I presently live at but I didn't live here last June.

So how did the get my phone number, address, and credit card number??? And why are they charging me for a new membership almost a year later when I didn't even order one and I obviously didn't like their rewards program in the first place?

These questions and the fact that their story didn't make any sense at all made me look them up on the internet. I found this RIPOFF site about MWI*LIFESTYLE REWARDS. The one thing that made me laugh out of all this is that, when you call them, their automated voice message says that they try to make your life easier!!! What a joke!
