Verbal assault from on site management

This is what happened to me today:

We have been staying at Park Square for 5 years and we finally save enough to purchase our place, so we will be moving out by the end of the month.

As on January 31, 2009, we gave the on-site management (Betty and Brian) a notice stating that we will be moving out on February 21, 2009 and the unit will be return on February 27, 2009. On our notice, these two dates are clearly stated.

On February 1, 2009, we paid our rent at the office and tried to confirm the freight elevator booking with Betty. She said she got our letter already and the time for elevator is confirmed in her file. As you may know, the freight elevator is our only elevator goes all the way down to the loading dock. We used to have another elevator to the parade, but since the flood happened 2 years ago, it is no longer in operation.

Now, today, we have our moving company confirmed our appointment. So we stepped into the management office and tried to confirm the elevator booking again with Betty. Betty, Brian and two other gentlemen who are living here were in the office. We asked politely about the booking. Betty finally pulled out her file and asked we were booked on February 27, 2009. I said it could not be right, because we had clearly stated on the letter.

Betty said February 21, 2009 is already booked by another unit and Brian did our booking. I told her that I wrote that date on our letter. She found our letter and said SOMEONE changed the date on the letter. Yes, I did, I did it before I gave her the letter. I still have a hard copy of the letter with the date crossed out.

Betty said we can book the elevator from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. I said fine, because we do not have a choice.

She changed the date. I suspected that we placed our booking before the other unit did, because we were on the first of the list. It makes perfectly sense that for a normal person would start to fill in the list on the first row. Brian got mad about our "reasoning".

I told Betty to write us a note stating that we will have elevator on that day, she replied "I don't need you to tell what I need to do! "

They both got mad and became very rude. I just kept saying that we booked the elevator before the other unit did. In the same moment, Brian walked towards us (me and my boyfriend) and trying to get us out of their office. They started to yell at us "we are happy that you guys are moving", and some other very offensive words!

I am really really mad and worry now. It costs us $1000 for the move, if we don't get the elevator on time, we will have to pay to the moving company no matter what. As I said, we can only use that elevator. The thing I am worrying is that if we file this to their boss, they may do something BAD to us, ie: not giving us the elevator on that date and time.

I believe that we are the "customers" to the apartment, we are not bagging for anything and we DID NOT do anything wrong up to this point. We don't not deserve to have this kind of altitude and service towards our matter. Who do they think they are? Who do they think we are? They are not showing even a little bit of respect!
