Gallerie Concorde
The Artwork never sells, money only flows into them!

Miscellaneous

I also was cold-called by a broker for Galerie Concorde in January 2008. I was told of the amazing opportunities available in the same artists' (Maxx & Nieman) prints, and the accompanying stories as to how the works were obtained at bargain prices - death, divorce, and debt.
I purchased a few Peter Maxx pieces, then some Nieman works, and was told that they would be flipped around the time of the Olympics, since "Maxx is so hot right now! " The same appraiser (Juris E. Poruks P.O. Box 673, Snowdon, Que H3X 3X8) was used for all the works, and I questioned as to why the appraisals were not the same as the values being quoted to me. The broker had his lines down good, and an answer for every question.
I have yet to sell one piece back to the gallery, even though my pieces have also been in high positions on the database listings for some time now. When I call about the long wait, I am given a list of excuses, and also solicited to buy more pieces! They feed on one of our basic foibles - greed - and they do it well, very smooth operators. I would be very interested in joining a class action lawsuit, or contacting my state's Attorney General's office to see if they can do anything.
