Miscellaneous

I recieved a letter from "Carlson Marketing Inc" located in Ontario, Canada stating that I am a winner in their "Consumer Awards Program". Enclosed was a check for $995.88, which definitely looks real. After researching on the internet I have found several postings from other people who recieved this. It appears they change the name of the company every so often, but the names and numbers stay the same.
Do not deposit this check, it will bounce, your bank account will be wiped out and you will be left liable for all costs and charges incurred.
Names listed on the letter are: Claims agent-Christy Gibbs; Promotions Manager-Lloyd Formerly.
