Sent info regarding home working as a Coupon Worksheet Processo

I applied for this 'job' from a link on the Internet only a few days ago (July 2009). I received a package describing how I would be paid a minimum of $10 per worksheet processing grocery coupons. Luckily I checked on the Internet because it sounded too good to be true and found loads of scam reports linked to the name and address. What I don't understand is presumably if loads of people have been sending cheques to this bogus company, there must be an audit trail for the police to track where the money has gone?
