Miscellaneous

Hello, I'm Fly. I was sent a letter from Global Marketing Inc. telling me I had won a very large amount of cash. I didn't believe it for one second. The letter basically said that I was "entitled to the sum of $75, 000. This is from total prize money of $1, 875, 000". This was supposed to be split among 25 winners. The math was good at least. The letter didn't say what I had entered to win this money. Along with this letter was a check for $2, 300 that I was to cash for clearence certificate and insurance and not to try and use it till I called a Mr. Rob Williams. There were office hours listed in the letter that connected to bits of the information I checked later (Pacific Daylight Time).
I had moved from my original location to where I am now and this group wound up sending a letter with a check for me in it to someone who is in charge of my mail till I can change my address with the post office. I had been recieving e-mails from these people for a while and just sent their e-mails to the spam.
I couldn't believe my ears when I was reading the info I had been givin over the phone about this letter with a check in it. I got every word of the letter written down thru a friend of mine and I started my research.
I found in the letter names, a number, and a couple of addresses. I started checking the info I had been given. The address in Canada... 997 Cross Creek Rd. West Vancouver British Columbia V7S 2S6. This was a real address but there was no information linking it to a Rob Williams or a Mary Wilson which were names from the info in the letter. Both names sounded fake to me to begin with.
I started checking the information regarding the American address... 8001 LBJ Freeway 3rd Floor Dallas TX 75251. This address according to my searches didn't exist. Unless you go to the Nucentcom web site... Nucentcom.com.
I went from there to the phone number that was to belong to Rob Williams... 1 (604) 767-1753. I found that this was a mobile number in activation but of course no name listed. The numbers origin is supposed to be in Vancouver according to the international white and yellow pages.
Just for kicks, I looked up Nucentcom and it was claiming to be a phone company and the office number was on the site... 1 (214) 699-0579. I found that this number was a land phone in operation at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
The letter looked to be signed by a "something W. Scott" and was post marked Canada.
The numbers and the address weren't matching the information I had been given from the letter. I refuse to get caught in this spider's web.
