My wife ordered the Get Smart collection for me for Christmas. When it hadn't arrived on/by Dec. 24th (as promised), she told me. I was immediately suspicious as Time-Life is the only authorized distributor and their price is over twice what thedvdplanet.org advertised on their website. Some research quickly revealed this outfit is not reputable and has previously been known as DVDcollections.tv, TVboxset.com and others. In fact, thedvdplanet.org website FAQ has a reference to DVDcollections.tv. The owners must have missed that when performing a copy and paste.
We immediately disputed the charges with our credit card company, cancelled the credit card account and cancelled the order. If you bought from these guys and didn't get what you ordered (highly likely) - dispute the charges with your credit card company ASAP! Their M.O. appears to be that they string you along with phony excuse emails (zip code problems, customs issues, promises of refunds, etc.) to get beyond the 60 day period allowed to dispute charges. After that, you are stuck. Also, insist your credit card company give you a new card number and close the old account. Don't delay, you don't want this company to have free reign with your credit.
These guys are slick. They sent us a tracking number from the Canadian Postal Service that seemed to indicate the product was on its way. However, when we logged in to Canada Postal, the item had no destination address and that seemed unusual. We clicked on the "email notification" button and got an error that the item had already reached the maximum number of email addresses allowed. It seems they sent the same tracking number to quite a few of us, that maximum email addresses error gave it away.
We were lucky, we figured it out fairly quickly. Do not buy from them!! But if you did, dispute the charges and close your credit account right now.
