Epical Worldwide Sweepstakes & Lotteries RIP OFF!! FAKE LOTTO SCAM!!

I was contacted via mail by Epical Worldwide Sweepstakes and Lotteries stating that I was a first prize winner in the worldwide sweepstakes lottery program held on 10/29/07 in Las Vegas, NV. The letter stated my name was attached to a specific ticket # with a reference #. A check was enclosed in the amount of $4, 700.00 from Adlin Construction in Mission Viejo, CA. The letter stated that the purpose of the check was to cover the necessary insurance fees. The letter also stated that an amount of 10% would be deducted from the cash prize to repay the fees. I initially contacted Epical to determine the validity of this letter. I spoke with a person named Deniel, who stated that I should immediately take the check and deposit it into my checking account. He urged me to not tell anyone about my winnings, due to the fact that "if the bank finds out I won this large sum of money, they would try to tax me at 57%." He said to call back as soon as I deposited the check so they could go ahead and process my winnings of $250, 000.00. He said that $4, 525.00 would be withdrawn back out of my checking account for insurance purposes as soon as the money is received in my account. He said I would recieve a package as early as the next day with the $250, 000.00 check and a tax-exempt form that I must complete in order for my winnings to remain tax-exempt. Upon contacting Adlin Construction, I found out that this is the second time this construction company has been targeted, and fake checks sent from their bank account.
