CES-customer evaluation services. Mystery shopper scam

I recieved an e-mail stating that CES reviewed my resume at Arizona Job Bank and asking me to sign up. I did and recived the "check" it seemed too good to be true. and upon researching I discovered it is a scam. The "HR" person stated his name as Mark Johnson. Luckily they didn't catch me, I hope to help others from getting scammed.
