The Premier Canadian Mint
, Not Royal Canadian Mint wrongfully dismissed me as an employee after I was hospitalized for several months after a car accident

Miscellaneous

The Premier Canadian Mint, located in Newmarket, Ontario is operated by a man and his elderly Father. I had been working there for about 8 months with no complaints from them, nor nothing I complained about.

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in November 2006, into a coma for 11 days and hospitalized for rehabilitation for the next few months.

My therapy support workers had me return on a non paid trial to "get used to working again". This return to work only happened for one day, when i wanted to return I couldn't get a hold of the company's owners.

It was operated by an elderly man and his son, they only had 3 employees which included me, it was very rare I would see the other 2 ladies come into work.

Something was always a little odd about how the company operated, but I was getting paid (not very much). Another odd thing was the fact that he would write me a check every Friday, and come back to me at the end of the day and say, "how about I just give you the cash and you sign the check back over to me so you dont have to run to the bank."

The company has no official website and are no longer based in Concord, ON.

It seemed odd to me, but I was ignorant (not aware) of what was going on

I no longer work there but I would like to know if I could receive compensation somehow. I am still not working and it has been about 5 months
